Position Summary: 

The Development Associate will implement and support a variety of fundraising and communications strategies. The Development Associate plays a major role in planning and creating content for donor cultivation, including special events, social media, emails, print marketing, website design and maintenance, and more. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, the ability to take initiative, work collaboratively, and largely independently.  The position reports to the Development Manager, but will work across all departments of the organization.

Preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate a track record of successful fundraising and/or marketing campaigns.


This is a Part-Time position (28 hours/week).  $15 – $18 per hour depending on experience.  No benefits.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (degree in Communications or Marketing a plus)
  • 3 years related experience a plus
  • Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Be highly organized and able to lead, coordinate and manage multiple projects
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team
  • Be detail-oriented and complete assignments in a highly accurate, professional and timely manner
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office & other office software
  • Experience using Microsoft Publisher, Adobe Photoshop/InDesign or other design tools preferred
  • Be flexible with schedule and willing to work in a variety of capacities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and WordPress a plus
  • Understands trends and best practices for fundraising, marketing and social media

Position Summary – The Intake Coordinator is responsible for the following:

  • Answer inquiries regarding the application process
  • Process all incoming preliminary applications, including creating a file for each applicant and data entry into internal database.
  • Conduct interviews as needed and monthly intake orientation for current and future vacancies.
  • Conduct screenings
  • Assist applicants with completing paperwork for the Philadelphia Housing Authority (PHA) and Philadelphia Redevelopment Authority (RDA)
  • Liaison with outside provider to complete Biopsychosocial Assessments for applicants assigned to a unit.
  • Enter all new residents into the City of Philadelphia’s HMIS database and complete HUD entry assessments.
  • Exit all transitioning residents from HMIS after receiving the Transition Summary from Social Services staff.
  • Update all forms as needed and adjust the Intake process based on HUD, RDA and OHS requirements.
  • Prepare internal reports and external reports to the City of Philadelphia’s Office of Homeless Services. (OHS)
  • Participate in regularly scheduled meetings with the Property Management and Social Services divisions.


This is a full time position.  $15 – $18 per hour depending on experience plus benefits.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Must be organized and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Experience working with a diverse population preferred.
  • Experience with a social service organization is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Access.
  • Experience in database management
